Black Bat Bean Brownies
Not only will this tasty, moist and delicious treat satisfy your sweet tooth, it is also low in fat and salt, and a heart healthy snack your children will enjoy too. Plus, it’s super easy (but no one has to know).
Ingredients:
1 box of low fat brownie mix
1 15-ounce can (no salt added) black beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup of water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
Directions:
- Place brownie mix in medium mixing bowl.
- In blender or food processor, puree black beans and water until smooth.
- Add bean mixture, cinnamon, vanilla and cayenne pepper to brownie mix. Mix well.
- Bake according to package directions on the brownie mix. Once cooled, use a bat shaped stamp from your local craft store to make bat images on brownies
